Shock lockout bicycles

Shock lockout

— possibility to disable the rear wheel damping system. A rear shock is often seen as a sign of an advanced bike, but it is not always useful. For example, on high-quality roads, where it is not necessary to "handle" bumps, any damping system turns from an advantage into a disadvantage — it cuts off part of the power and reduces the efficiency of pedalling. Rear suspension lockout eliminates this drawback; and on rough terrain, the shock absorber can be turned back on.
