Full suspension

— full suspension, including appropriate suspension for both the front and rear wheels. Thanks to this, the vibrations that occur while riding are damped as much as possible, which is especially important on rough terrain — in particular, almost all mountain bikes of the downhill/freeride specialization have this type of suspension. The disadvantages of full suspension are the high price, the complexity of the design and the increase in weight, as well as the reduction in pedalling efficiency (however, in some models, the latter can be compensated by turning off the damping system, the so-called suspension lockout).
