As part of the QN8x series, the Korean manufacturer Samsung produces advanced 4K smart TVs with a QLED screen, intelligent image processing tools, an elegant frameless body and advanced Mini LED backlight. Due to the increased number of tiny LEDs, the image on a Mini LED TV looks brighter and more contrasty, and the backlight itself is distributed more evenly. The range of diagonals in this series starts from 55 inches and ends at 85 inches.

Despite the far from the highest cost (especially compared to OLED TV), QN8x TVs implement almost all proprietary technologies familiar from Samsung’s flagship TVs. We are talking about the proprietary Tizen smart shell with integrated voice assistants from Google, Amazon and Samsung, as well as the proprietary Quantum 4K processor. The “smart” chip automatically adjusts and improves the picture based on the context. For example, it can artificially scale a video from Full HD to 4K, equalize the brightness depending on the lighting in the room (Ambient Mode+ mode), or finely adjust the contrast of the picture.

The gaming capabilities of this line are not far behind. In particular, Samsung QN8x panels can display images with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro anti-aliasing technology, can display content in HDR10+ mode and, last but not least, are equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports that are capable of transmitting images to consoles while simultaneously using all these options. And thanks to the built-in subwoofer and a combination of several stereo speakers with fairly high sound quality, the owner of such a TV can easily live without an external soundbar.
