Composite input

— one of the simplest and most common analogue connectors. It is a set of three RCA connectors (“tulip”), in which the yellow connector is responsible for video transmission, and the other two, usually white and red, are for the left and right stereo sound channels. It is convenient because it allows to transmit both video and sound at the same time, but in terms of image quality it loses to more advanced analogue standards — S-Video and even more so component.
