Coaxial (S/PDIF)

— an interface for transmitting sound in digital format, allowing multichannel audio to be transmitted through a single cable with an RCA connector ("tulip"). This standard is somewhat less resistant to interference compared to the optical one (see below) — this is due to fundamental differences between these interfaces. On the other hand, the electrical cable is more reliable than fiber optics and is not as sensitive to pressure and bends.
