Chest pocket
The Transcend ESD420 is a compact portable SSD weighing under 50 g that easily fits into a shirt’s chest pocket or even a makeup bag. It comes in two color options: the refined Iron Gray and the elegant Champagne Gold, perfectly matching MacBook and iPhone. The USB 3.2 Gen2x2 interface delivers data transfer speeds up to 2000 MB/s, which is sufficient for working with ProRes 4K video.
Magnetic mount
The device attaches to the back of a smartphone using MagSafe neodymium magnets. A thin, flexible Type-C cable is included. At the moment, the proprietary mounting technology is supported exclusively by Apple smartphones starting with iPhone 12. At the same time, the drive is compatible with all popular operating systems: Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, and ChromeOS.
Drop resistance
The Transcend Elite app protects data with the AES-256 algorithm and a password, and also lets you create backups, including cloud ones, and recover deleted files. In addition, the drive meets the MIL-STD-810G military standard, withstanding drops from heights up to 1.2 m, making it a reliable travel companion.
