The Samsung Galaxy S20 is the base flagship of the South Korean tech giant from the 2020 model portfolio. There is no talk of concessions in its on-board equipment, so even the standard version of the G20 turned out to be not childishly charged.
Screen of the highest category
The first reason to be proud is a truly gorgeous 6.2-inch diagonal screen on a Dynamic AMOLED matrix substrate with support for the HDR10 + standard. Also, the gadget's curved display is notable for its 120Hz refresh rate. The increased frame rate is available in FullHD + image resolution, while the smartphone “can” and more — the maximum resolution of the image broadcast on the screen is 3200x1440 pixels. Directly in the display of the Samsung Galaxy S20, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 10 MP selfie camera lens (in the centre of the upper segment) were “registered”.
"Iron" power
In the depths of the glass case of the device, which is “under cover” of tempered glass Gorilla Glass 6, a performant “hardware” is working hard: one of the top Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 chipsets (for the US market) in cooperation with 8/12 GB of RAM. Permanent memory on board the base flagship has 128 GB. There are simply no impossible tasks for the “hardware” of the device, besides, it has a solid performance margin for the long term.
Photo and video potential
Traditionally, the strength of the model is photo and video shooting on the rear camera. Under its wing, 3 photomodules are combined (12 MP leading + 64 MP telephoto + 12 MP ultra-wide) with remarkable potential. In particular, the smartphone’s camera can record videos in 8K resolution at 30 fps, and you can count its equals in the photographic part on your fingers. Complementing the picture of the gadget is fast and reverse wireless charging of a “four-thousander” battery (4000 mAh), IP68 dust and water protection and a full range of up-to-date wireless communications (including Wi-Fi 6 and an NFC chip). Abandoned in the smartphone only from the call key of the homegrown Bixby assistant and from the 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones.
There is a modification with support for 5G communication. However, 5G does not work in the CIS countries, which at the beginning of 2020 makes this feature useless for residents of the CIS.
