The fifth generation of foldable clamshell from Samsung was presented to the public in the midst of summer 2023. A noticeable innovation in the smartphone is the increased size of the external screen (from 1.9 inches diagonally to 3.4 inches). As a result, the useful area of the second display has actually increased by 4 times. The model also uses a new hinge mechanism for folding the main screen, which has a diagonal size of 6.7 inches and broadcasts the image in a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Flip5 256GB is powered by the most powerful eight-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone has 8 GB of RAM, and the standard UFS 4.0 storage capacity is 256 GB (without expansion slot). In addition, the model received a dual main camera 12 + 12 MP with optical stabilization of the leading image sensor and a 10 MP front camera. The device can be immersed to a depth of one and a half meters under water for up to half an hour, which is achieved thanks to the IPX8 waterproof housing. The smartphone's 3,700mAh battery supports 25W fast wired charging and two-way wireless charging technology.
