The Intel Core i3 Skylake is a smart and efficient processor that offers good system performance with its 2 cores and 4 virtual cores, making it suitable for everyday tasks and moderate gaming. It pairs well with the Z170 chipset, allowing for overclocking up to 4500 MHz, which can outperform some AMD FX series processors. While the processor is not cheap for a budget solution, it provides a decent price/quality ratio and is ideal for building a computer from scratch. However, it lacks Turbo mode and has a locked multiplier, which might be a limitation for some users. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 makes a separate graphics card unnecessary for non-gaming tasks. Despite its age, it remains a reliable choice for budget home PCs, although newer models might be more suitable for heavy loads.

well, there's a lot here, video has become even better, so from an office perspective, a graphics card is completely pointless right now, only for games, and only if they're new. the overall system performance, has experience with the previous generation, very smart processor, 4 virtual cores, everything works very efficiently in conjunction with Windows 10 the price, of course, is to say the least, not cheap for quite a budget solution, although the Core i5 is pointless against this, essentially it does the same. I bought this processor in 2016-17 for 7,000 rubles. Paired with 16 GB of RAM at 2133 and a GT 710 with 2 GB, it was the perfect build for its cost at the time. Now, for 37,000, that's expensive. It runs games well on medium settings, especially if, for example, in GTA5 Online you drive out of the city, then it works great. Two cores - four threads
The modern Skylake architecture and high clock speed of 3.7 GHz (comparable to AMD 4.7 GHz) give the Core i3-6100 very high performance per one or two cores, which is important for gaming hits of yesteryear. And the virtual four cores make it easy to cope with those new games that no longer have enough Celeron / Pentium, as well as get a noticeable performance boost in video editing.
Powerful integrated graphics
The i3-6100 can be paired with any graphics card up to the GeForce GTX 980 and Radeon R 390X. If there is no discrete graphics card yet, it is quite possible to sit out on the integrated Intel HD 530 graphics. She can handle not only WoT, Dota and CS, but even GTA V and Fallout 4, naturally only at HD resolution and low texture settings.
Golden mean
At the moment, the Intel Core i3-6100 is perhaps the most balanced processor on the market in all meanings of the word. All its power fits into a modest 53 W heat pack, thanks to which it cools quietly and efficiently even with a simple boxed cooler. At $130, the i3-6100 chip is about 50 percent faster than non-HT dual-core Celeron/Pentiums, and just as much slower than true quad-core Core i5s that start at $180.
