Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 EF-S IS STM

Standard zoom lens for Canon hobbyist DSLRs (with APS-C sensor). It is often supplied as a kit (complete) with SLR cameras of a Japanese brand of a low-cost link. The lens's versatile 18-55mm focal length range is suitable for shooting landscapes, portraits and travel. The maximum aperture of the model varies from f / 3.5 at the wide-angle zoom position to f / 5.6 at the long end.

To compensate for its lack, the built-in optical stabilizer is called upon with the claimed efficiency of up to 4 steps of shutter speed or exposure when shooting handheld or in low light conditions. The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6 IS STM has a quiet STM autofocus stepping motor in the “gut”, which is focused from a distance of 25 cm. The lens has a 7-blade aperture, a thread for filters near the front lens — 58 mm. The model is assembled in a compact case with dimensions of 69 mm in diameter and 75 mm in length. The standard zoom lens weighs only 205 g.
