For enthusiasts
The ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming is one of ASUS' most advanced and feature-packed boards for the latest AMD platform. The price tag is traditionally biting, so it is suitable primarily for enthusiasts who master the new generation of processors, and performant work machines based on the new multi-core Ryzen chips.
Get ready for 6th generation Wi-Fi
ROG Strix X570-E Gaming has a very rich equipment: 8 USB ports (there is USB-C), two network adapters and a pair of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless modules. Moreover, Wi-Fi brand new sixth version. High-quality SupremeFX audio codec is used. For installing RGB strips, the possibilities are very rich, and Asus Aura Sync has many different modes of operation. Two video outputs were installed on the rear panel at once, although it is unlikely that anyone will buy such a board for a Ryzen 3200G processor with integrated graphics. This model also has a good power subsystem designed for top processor models, as well as an efficient cooling system for the chipset, VRM and M.2 drives. Thanks to this, ROG Strix X570-E provides excellent features for automatic overclocking of the processor and RAM. Moreover, the initial values are set optimally, so messing around with frequencies, voltages and timings is not necessary.
Issue price
The main problem with the ROG Strix X570-E is the price. Paying $400, you want to get not just fancy, but almost perfect motherboard without flaws. And it falls short of the perfect for several reasons. The first is limited overclocking potential. For example, from memory we could not jump above 3466 MHz, although according to the passport a maximum of 4400 MHz is claimed. You expect more from an overclocker product. The second claim is not the most successful layout. Try installing an ordinary SSD in an M.2 slot and be surprised how many extra bolts you have to unscrew. I would also like separate power and reset buttons right on the board.
