A balanced solution for modern gaming with a focus on efficient cooling and stable performance. The model belongs to the popular PULSE lineup, which traditionally combines a reasonable price with a reliable construction and thoughtful cooling system design. At the heart of the graphics accelerator is the powerful Navi 48 (RDNA 4) GPU, featuring 4096 stream processors, 128 tensor cores for AI computation acceleration, and 64 RT cores for ray tracing.

The rather high clock speed of 2970 MHz delivers high performance in 1440p and 4K resolutions, supporting modern graphical technologies. The chip supports ray tracing, FRS 4 image upscale, and can generate intermediate frames using Fluid Motion Frames technology, allowing smoothing of average frame rates if a game is lagging. The proprietary Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT PULSE cooling system uses three AeroCurve Fan Blade fans with optimized blade geometry for maximum airflow at minimal noise levels.

Free Flow cooling technology creates optimum air paths through an advanced radiator module, and the integrated cooling system includes composite heat pipes for even heat distribution. A special mention is deserved for the premium thermal interface Honeywell PTM7950. The dimensions of the graphics card are 320 mm in length with a thickness of 3 slots — while it's not the largest on the market, potential buyers should check their case dimensions beforehand. Key Features: - Efficient cooling system with optimized airflow and minimal noise. - Supports advanced 4K gaming technologies, including ray tracing. - Powerful performance with 4096 stream processors and high clock speed. - Improved AI and graphics rendering with 128 tensor cores and 64 RT cores. - Premium thermal materials ensuring reliable long-term use.

Overall, the RX 9070 XT Pulse keeps things very simple, focusing on power
7 November 2025
I work for a company that processes video using graphics cards. Therefore, I can share my experience of using this graphics card at work. The graphics card is mainly used in DaVinci Resolve (an application for color correction and non-linear video editing), where thanks to its improved architecture, it shows better results than its direct competitor, the GeForce RTX 5070Ti.

Pulse is still focused on simplicity, without RGB lighting or anything that would increase the cost without sacrificing performance. In fact, this is the largest Pulse I have ever seen. Its length is 320 mm, height is 120.25 mm, and thickness is 61.6 mm. This thickness makes it slightly more than a 3-slot card, but the company still states that it is 3-slot (we usually see 10 mm per slot). This size is entirely focused on cooling, and the three-fan design, including the airflow section, takes up almost half of the card.

Regarding temperatures, in the demanding DaVinci Resolve, temperatures rise no more than 60 degrees, which means it will be slightly less in games.
Quiet and efficient cooling system with good reserve; Significantly improved performance in this generation with video encoding and decoding; Price; RTX 5070 Ti performance at a lower price.
For that price - no.

A new 4K experience

The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT PULSE graphics card is built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture (2025) and comes with proprietary tweaks for stable operation even under heavy load. Aimed at gamers, it comfortably handles 4K output provided you use a powerful CPU and enough RAM. The high GPU frequency (2970 MHz in Boost mode) delivers solid performance, though it does result in noticeable heat. Despite the arrival of more modern memory standards, this model uses GDDR6, which somewhat limits overclocking headroom. It’s a great choice for budget-conscious users who want to enjoy 4K gaming on a big-screen TV or monitor, as well as for those involved in design, app development, content creation, and video. The card offers an optimal number of stream processors, tensor and RT cores that speed up rendering, improve upscaling, raise FPS, and add realism to the image. All of this is achieved by AI algorithms with no manual tuning.

Design features

The board stands out with a strong, reliable build, though it’s quite large, occupying three slots. It uses a 12-layer PCB with copper traces to boost conductivity and reduce resistance, along with protective fuses against overcurrent. A 14-phase power design spreads the load evenly and calls for a relatively modest by gaming standards 750 W PSU with 8+8-pin connectors. There’s also a FrameDefense system to protect against mechanical damage during shipping and assembly. Stable positioning in the case is ensured by a metal backplate with a hot-air exhaust zone and an L-shaped bracket.

Free Flow suite

Keeping temperatures in check is the job of the Free Flow cooling system. It includes Tri-X fans with dual ball bearings and AeroCurve blades that deliver strong airflow with minimal noise. A thoughtfully shaped heatsink reduces turbulence, while composite heatpipes distribute heat evenly. There’s also a direct-contact module for the GPU, memory, and VRM to efficiently cool key components.
