A similar possibility is also supported by more universal devices (the same multimeters), therefore, relatively few specialized voltmeters are produced today. However, they often provide better measurement accuracy than multi-purpose instruments (at a lower cost), and can also support various additional functions strictly related to voltage measurements and required for specific applications.
