"Continuity" of the chain

— a special mode for checking the presence of contact between two points of the circuit: the device is connected to the necessary points, and if there is contact between them, an audible and/or light signal is given. In fact, “dialing” is operation in the ohmmeter mode, however, the device does not measure the actual resistance, but only gives a signal when the resistance between the probes drops to zero (or almost to zero). The convenience of this mode lies in the fact that you do not need to look at the scale to check the measurement result: sound signals are clearly audible, and light signals are visible even with peripheral vision. Thus, the check is carried out almost instantly, which will be especially useful when numerous sections are called.
