Multimeters with power measurement

— measurement of the power of electric current.Power is voltage times current; thus, for this measurement, it is necessary to determine both the voltage and the current strength. It is difficult to do this with the help of classic probes, therefore, various tricks can be provided in modern measuring instruments. So, multimeters can be intended strictly for measuring the power of household electrical appliances powered by a 230 V network: the appliance is connected to the outlet through a special adapter, from which data are taken in volts and amperes. Clamps (see "Device") can use a combination of contact voltage measurement and non-contact current measurement, etc.
Note that the definition of AC power has its own nuances, especially when working with capacitive and/or inductive loads. So if the device is necessary for such measurements, it will not hurt to clarify its capabilities (in particular, True RMS support will not be superfluous, see "Functions / Capabilities").
