Wrist watches with Arabic numerals
prices on 400 models— markup based on Arabic numerals — that is, standard numbers of the modern world, such as "1", "2", etc. These can only be digital designations, or combinations of numbers with simple labels; for example, 3, 6, 9 and 12 hours can be indicated by numbers, the rest of the hours by dashes or dots.
In general, this is the second most common type of markup, second only to marks (see the relevant paragraph): Arabic numerals are perceived unambiguously and do not require additional explanations. And less popular than marks is mainly due to the fact that such symbols require some space on the dial — this makes it somewhat difficult to use, especially in miniature models and multifunctional watches with displays and/or additional scales.
