— the rubber used in watch straps is similar in its properties to both plastic and rubber. It is quite dense and strong, relatively firm, but elastic and quite capable of bending to the extent that it can easily wrap around the wrist. Such straps are typical for sports style watches: they are resistant to moisture, do not “cold” the hand and go well with the design of the cases. But among the "classics" this material has not received distribution and is only occasionally found among low-cost options.
