The TD-W8920G 108M Wireless ADSL2+ Router is designed to provide easy and cost effective Internet access via ADSL connection for private Ethernet or 802.11g/802.11b wireless networks. This Router is easy to use. The TD-W8920G connects to an Ethernet LAN or computers via standard Ethernet ports. ADSL connection is established through a regular telephone line using standard connectors. When using a single global IP address and a single WAN network, you can combine several workstations into a single network and connect them to the Internet. Advanced security and IP and MAC filtering help you stay secure and protect your network from unwanted malware intrusions. The Parental Control function provides a flexible network access control system, so that parents or network administrators can independently set rules for restricting access to various resources for children or staff.

The router is easy to install and configure. The kit comes with a Web-based Quick Setup utility, moreover, each step is accompanied by handy tips. The Network and Router are managed through Web-Based Software (SW), which you can access via an Ethernet local area network from any browser. Remote management is provided so that you can configure the Router through the WAN ports from any browser.

ADSL
The TD-W8920G 108M Wireless ADSL2+ Router uses a built-in ADSL2+ transceiver (transceiver) and a high-speed MIPS CPU (MIPS stands for Million Commands Per Second). The router supports full speed ADSL2+ connection in accordance with ITU (ITU, International Telecommunication Union/Telecommunications Union) and NISA (ANSI, US National Standards Institute).

In addition to supporting the standard DMT (Discrete Multi-tone Modulation) physical layer function, the ADSL2+ PHY physical layer protocol supports ADSL2+ dual latency framing (fast and interleaved) and I.432 ATM component of the physical layer.

TD- W8920G 108M Wireless ADSL2+ Router is a plug-and-play turnkey solution. The router has 4 built-in switched ports, a firewall and a NAT router. This model is designed for wireless networks in SOHO class small offices/homes.

Wireless features
The router provides a high level of wireless network security through a number of special features. The device can be configured so that the wireless network disables broadcast name resolution (SSID) if necessary, and leaves only those workstations that have an SSID (Secure Identifier). The router supports wireless LAN security based on 64/128/152-bit WEP encryption, WPA/WPA2 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK authentication, and TKIP/AES encryption.

The device is based on Super G and eXtended Range WLAN transmission technologies, which allow 2-3 times the data transfer distance compared to standard IEEE 802.11g/b solutions, and also provide data transfer rates up to 108Mbps over the entire coverage area. The router is compatible with all devices based on IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11b.
