From the press release:

Wireless ADSL router D-Link DSL-G804V is designed for use in small office networks. With built-in ADSL2/2+ interface supporting up to 24Mbps downstream speed, IPSec VPN encryption, QoS (Quality of Service) functions, firewall, built-in 802.11g access point and 4-port Fast Ethernet switch, the router provides the functionality necessary to create a reliable and secure connection to the outside world. The router can also be used in remote offices to establish a secure connection to the company's main office via the Internet.

High speed ADSL connection
The DSL-G804V supports the latest ADSL2/ADSL2+ standards for data rates up to 24 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream (ADSL2+) or up to 12 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream when using ADSL2. The router automatically detects the connection type and selects the best modulation scheme using the G.hs (handshake) protocol.

Ready wired and wireless LAN connectivity for workgroups
The DSL-G804V is equipped with an 802.11g wireless access point that provides connection speeds up to 54Mbps and is backwards compatible with 802.11b devices. Also, the device is equipped with a built-in 4-port Fast Ethernet switch for connecting workstations. These built-in features save you the money to buy a standalone access point or Ethernet switch and avoid the hassle of installing them.

Secure data transmission over the Internet
With a built-in 3DES accelerator, the DSL-G804V provides hardware-based VPN protection to prevent unauthorized data access and spoofing while in transit over a public network. Using VPN tunnel protocols, the router creates closed connections through the data network. This allows you to safely exchange mail and data over the Internet, without fear of viewing, changing or substituting information. Supported data encapsulation, encryption, and authentication methods include DES, 3DES, AES, enabling applications such as virtual private networks, including Intranet, Extranet, and remote user connectivity.

Built-in firewall
In addition to VPN, the router provides a built-in firewall with Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection. The SPI checks the contents of the headers of all incoming packets before deciding whether to forward the packet to the internal network. Access control is performed using packet filtering based on source and destination MAC/IP addresses. Parental control allows you to block access to websites by checking text strings or domain names. With Virtual Server Mapping, the router allows individual FTP, WEB, and game servers to share a single global IP address while protecting internal network servers and workstations from hacker attacks. One of the LAN ports of the built-in switch can be configured as a DMZ port. The DMZ setting can be applied to a single client (such as a WEB server) behind the DSL-G804V to access it from the Internet, ensuring full Internet application compatibility even if the specific port is unknown. This will allow you to manage your e-commerce site and applications from your office while keeping your internal LAN secure.
