Dual band wireless router with advanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi and four external antennas for the best omnidirectional network coverage. The manufacturer is positioned as an inexpensive router with full support for wireless connections in the 5 GHz band. In addition to the functions of a router, it can fully act as a bridge or repeater. The hardware platform of this model was the MediaTek MT7620A processor (580 MHz), which is responsible for supporting Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and five RJ-45 ports.

To work in the 5 GHz band, there is an additional MediaTek MT7612E chip. The amount of RAM is 64 MB. Thanks to such hardware, the TP-LINK Archer C50 v3 wireless router is capable of providing high data transfer rates in Wi-Fi networks (up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and up to 867 Mbps in the 5 GHz band). Equipped with five Fast Ethernet cable ports up to 100 Mbps (1 WAN port, 4 LAN ports). It can perform the functions of NAT, Firewall and DHCP server. Correctly supports passing VPN traffic (PPTP, L2TP, IPSec). Up-to-date security protocols and strong traffic encryption are supported. The router is not difficult to set up, which can be done with the help of a smartphone and the Tether app.

Model overview based on user reviews
The TP-LINK Archer C50 is a decent router with a nice design featuring four external antennas that provide a good range, although some users report a small radius and connection issues with the 5GHz network. It offers two operating modes and can be powered by a power bank, making it versatile for home use. While the router is generally easy to set up and provides a stable connection at 2.4 GHz, the 5 GHz band may experience frequent disconnections. The router is praised for its affordable price and mobile app support, but some users note it may not be sufficient for high-speed internet needs beyond 100 Mbps. Overall, it is a good choice for basic home networking, but potential buyers should be aware of its limitations.

A decent router, but with some nuances. I bought it when I installed high-speed internet in my apartment at 1 Gigabit, so the question arose about an inexpensive router for home use. One that I could set up once and it would just work. Overall, that's how it is, but not everything is good with it, but more on that later.

I'll start with the appearance; the design is wonderful, it's not just a white box, it's a small art object. It has a nice glossy surface with smooth lines, and inside there's a diamond-shaped pattern. The signal is handled by 4 antennas that can be rotated almost 360 degrees each and directed according to the layout of the room. I stuck mine on the wardrobe with double-sided tape, and it covers the entire apartment and even beyond.

The system creates two local networks: one at 2.4 GHz and the other at 5 GHz. Everything seems great with 2.4, but there's some trouble with 5. Devices connected to it constantly experience connection drops and reconnections to the network. Whether it's one client or 5, there are constant reconnections. It works for a minute, then suddenly there's no connection. For me, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is sufficient in most cases, and the main internet traffic goes through a cable. So I've somewhat come to terms with it, but it really spoils the impression of the device.
Nice design
4 antennas
Two operating modes
Can work from a power bank
Set it up once and forget it
Problems with the 5GHz network, which keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. It heats up well under network load.

The router itself is good. More stable, good connection, no need to restart after connecting. The downside is the small radius. On the street it doesn’t break through the booth and mustache
Price, mobile add-on, stability

A good router for its performance, but 100 Mbit at a time is no longer enough
Convenient and easy to set up
slight disruptions (rare but still)
if the router is around the corner, the connection already weakens at 8 m from it
