On-ear full-size open-back headphones designed for a wide range of audio applications including beatmaking, music production, instrument recording, mixing and mastering. The model belongs to the middle price segment and is part of the 2018 Sennheiser HD line of professional headphones. Despite the fact that the model costs almost half the price of the flagship HD 650, it carefully retains everything these headphones love for: a lightweight and comfortable design, as well as a natural analytical sound.

The Sennheiser HD 300 PRO uses a new speaker system that reproduces a neutral and extremely detailed sound throughout the entire frequency range (6 Hz - 25 kHz) with minimal distortion (‹0.1% distortion). The sound quality, of course, is not as amazing as the HD 650, but the overall character of the sound has been preserved, so the headphones are especially useful when working with acoustic instruments and orchestrations.

Unlike older counterparts in the HD series, the impedance of this model is 64 ohms, so they can be used in tandem with a smartphone, tablet, laptop, portable player and any other signal source without a powerful built-in amplifier. The design of the headphones is designed to deliver a minimum of discomfort even during continuous wear - the headband with a massive cushion is adjustable in a wide arc, the weight of the structure is only 297 grams, and dense and massive leatherette ear cushions completely cover the ears, reliably isolating the user from external noise. The headphones come with a detachable audio cable with an adapter from 3.5 mm mini-jack to 6.3 mm jack.
