The range of True Wireless headphones can be divided into 2 types. The first includes models with an emphasis on usability, voice quality, water resistance and the coolness of active noise cancellation. Active noise cancellation and 7 hours of battery life
The original Momentum True Wireless, released in 2018, sounded great and rightfully took the lead in all sorts of tops. Therefore, the formula was only slightly modified. But a bunch of other little things that spoiled the initial impression were finalized. So the battery life has grown from 4 to 7 hours. Support for the Bluetooth 5.1 standard has been added, and a mandatory attribute of a good TW headset has appeared - active noise reduction. The Transparent Mode/Talk Through mode has become more adequate. It seems that the quality of communication has improved, during the tests there was not a single loss of connection. But the layout on the touch panel is just as inconvenient, but you can customize it for yourself in a proprietary application. In general, if you had a thousand reasons to love and hate the original Momentum True Wireless, now there is virtually no reason to hate.
Almost audiophile sound with neutral character
In terms of sound, I didn't have to do much. The Momentum True Wireless 2 sound rich and natural, with distinct instrument separation and a well-defined stereo stage. The character is warm and balanced without division into favorite and unloved genres. The margin for volume and low frequencies is excellent. These are truly one of the best sounding headphones in the class. With an eye on the price and not surprisingly, now they are asking for more for the offspring of Sennheiser than for the Apple AirPods Pro, Sony WF-1000XM3 and other hits.
