The top model in the HD 5XX line of the 2017 model year, designed for users who want to get real pleasure from listening to Hi-Res tracks, while maintaining a reasonable cost of headphones. They are positioned as an affordable model of the upper price category, aimed at a sophisticated, but economical consumer who is not used to overpaying.
The Sennheiser HD 599 headphones have a durable and practical design with soft, removable velor ear cushions that provide a secure fit on the head without excessive pressure. Thanks to proprietary Ergonomic Acoustic Refinement (EAR) technology, the audio stream is focused precisely on the user's ear canals. Designed for use as part of a complex of high-quality sound-reproducing equipment.
They have an increased impedance resistance (50 ohms), therefore, to fully reveal their potential, an output amplifier with ultra-low harmonic distortion is required. According to the manufacturer, the headphones themselves guarantee an impressively low level of knee<0.1%. Supplied with two detachable cables: a 3-metre cable with a 6.35mm Jack connector and a shorter version (1.2 m) with a 3.5mm mini-Jack plug for connecting to mobile devices.

Dynamic presentation with a claim to hi-fi. But you won't hear any revelations from these headphones. They sound like good multimedia with a good amplifier, and like cheap multimedia without a good amplifier. 1. Phase and timing distortions, which can and will lead to pain in one of the ears (usually the one with the wire). 2. Lack of electromagnetic protection-insulation, which also can and will lead to headaches. 3. Extremely unsatisfactory distorted sound, made similar to multimedia speakers, as one ear is "active" and the other is "passive", this is how the design is. That is, one ear will play worse than the other and even quieter. The bass is almost completely absent, even with an amplifier. 4. There is no isolation from external sounds, since they are open-back headphones - you can hear everything around. And others will hear your music too. 5. The headband makes the head sweat, the ears are generally like in a sauna, even in winter, this is already a sure path to the ENT doctor and other specialists, plus the shape of the ear pads is non-ergonomic and will press on the ears in certain places. use Sennheiser HD 599 less than month |
If you listen to high-end devices, then their advantages are revealed perfectly. In the salon I tested it on 2 branded CD audio, classics. From my personal music library. Vocals, choir, high low mids, no complaints. I bought it and installed it at home on my H+ old equipment. I’d rather not . Somehow, it's not something you would write about now. Normal sounding Everything written here is true. The price is inflated, the sound is ordinary. They aren't that high-impedance. Koss SB-40 with a microphone outperforms them in all areas, with rich lows and highs. These have an open design. A common analog for them is the HD 201 (which I own) - 202.
