Another classic

The original Sennheiser HD 25 headphones have become an industry staple in the DJ world. It is unlikely that you will find at least one discussion about the choice of DJ headphones, in which this model is not mentioned 5-7 times. And no wonder, because they hit the bull's-eye in almost all criteria that are important for a person who mixes loud music in a club. And all this for reasonable money. As for the Plus model, it's more of a cosmetic update to the original model with a bag of gifts in the load (extra cable, interchangeable ear pads and carrying case).

Over-ear headphones with good sound isolation

The first improvement is good sound insulation. Typically, DJ headphones are made closed and full-sized so that the ear cushion covers the entire ear, and the music from the speakers does not interfere with monitoring. HD 25 Plus, although they do not cover the entire ear (they are overhead), they are surprisingly well isolated from external noise. The magic is that the lightweight design with soft ear cushions presses down on your ears just enough so that you can clearly hear your mix, but not so much as to cause discomfort. However, the shape is still for amateurs, so many DJs prefer classic closed models like the Technics RP-DJ1210, which cover the entire ear.

Energetic sound

The second success factor is an energetic, perfectly tuned and calibrated sound for nightclubs. Not as detailed and exciting as studio headphones, but very energetic and what is called punchy. In these, it will not be difficult for you to catch the rhythm and clearly hear the filter cuts during mixing. Last but not least, their success factor lies in their indestructibility. Due to the fact that they have a simple design, and all parts can be easily replaced, they will easily survive even the craziest party in the best traditions of the young Steve Aoki. The downside is that, due to the desire for simplification, they do not look very impressive.
