The RX 6800 is based on the AMD Navi 21 XL graphics core with 60 compute units and 3840 stream processors. The base frequency of the GPU is 1700 MHz, in automatic overclocking the processor confidently holds 1815 MHz, and if necessary, it can briefly accelerate to 2105 MHz. Completing the picture is 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory, which runs on a 256-bit bus, boasts an operating frequency of 16000 MHz and a theoretical bandwidth of 512 GB / s. AMD lists a maximum TDP of 250W and doesn't recommend installing the card in a PC with a PSU below 650W. Gaming performance is in line with AMD's promises: at 2K and 4K resolution, the new RX 6800 is faster than its main competitor GeForce RTX 3070 by an average of 5%. At the same time, once you turn on hardware tracing, the "green" graphics card will rush far ahead, leaving Radeon alone with its thoughts. Simple and effective overclocking in three clicks

But unlike the previous generation, overclocking was pleased. Personally, we managed to fire up the core to 2450 MHz, in the Western media they write about stable operation at a frequency of 2500 MHz. It all depends on the particular instance and luck. Anyway, even a 10% increase in power, which is done by simply enabling Rage Mode in the graphics card driver, is great news.
