Gigabyte's GTX 1660 SUPER variant is a perfectly balanced solution for 1080p gaming with enough speed to keep the coveted 60 FPS in most modern AAA titles. Only a couple of very demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Metro Exodus can make it drop to 40-45 FPS. The matter can be slightly corrected by overclocking: the test sample was overclocked by almost 9% by raising the core and memory frequencies, as well as increasing the voltage. Increased appetites became the price for overclocking, so if you plan to overclock it, then instead of the recommended 450 W power supply, count on 500 W. But the coolers did not seem to notice the increased load, operating at almost the same 70% power.

Summing up, I would like to praise Gigabyte, somehow imperceptibly they have become a company that produces the very best cards in terms of price and performance, not forgetting about reliability and additional goodies. This variation of the GTX 1660S has a moderately quiet and efficient cooling system, a high-quality element base, decently boosted frequencies right out of the box, and a large power reserve for overclocking experiments. Yes, its power consumption during overclocking is slightly higher than that of its competitors, but how can you not remember the saying about sleds?
