It differs from the AiR 3 model by having a main camera with an enlarged sensor, enhanced safety for night flights (front LiDAR), and the "free panorama" feature. Supports the new DJI RC-N3 remote controller.

The folding drone of the Mavic Air family, designed specifically for capturing landscapes and portraits during travel. A fundamental feature of this model is the installation of a full-size 1-inch sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels in the main wide-angle camera instead of the 1/1.3" in the predecessor, which significantly improved detail and light sensitivity when shooting sunsets and nightscapes.

The second camera features a 1/1.3" sensor equipped with a medium telephoto lens of 70mm and a 48-megapixel sensor, providing a three-times optical zoom for portrait shots with natural perspective compression. Both cameras support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second with an extended dynamic range of up to 14 stops and 4K/120fps slow-motion mode, while the 10-bit D-Log M profile preserves maximum information for color correction.

The DJI Air 3S drone became the first in the company's lineup to receive a front LiDAR sensor, which, combined with six visual sensors and a bottom ToF sensor, implements omnidirectional obstacle detection even in low-light conditions. The new Free Panorama feature allows creating seamless panoramas by selecting an arbitrary shooting area, available on both the wide-angle and telephoto cameras. The O4 FHD transmission system streams 10-bit video 1080p/60fps up to 20 kilometers away with a latency of only 120 milliseconds. The autonomy reaches 45 minutes, weighing 724 grams, and the built-in memory of 42GB allows you to start shooting without a memory card.
