A compact motherboard from ASRock, tailored for gaming builds based on new generation Ryzen processors (7000 series and higher), reactive M.2 PCI-E 4.0 class drives and DDR5 RAM, prices for which will normalize by the end of 2023. Despite belonging to the ASRock Pro office series, this model can equally well serve as the basis for an entry-level or mid-level gaming PC. In particular, it is equipped with a fairly efficient 11-phase power converter for its size with additional cooling of the VRM zone, designed taking into account the power supply characteristics of Ryzen Raphael processors, which will go on sale at the end of 2022.
In addition, it supports the installation of four DDR5 RAM modules with a maximum frequency operating at a maximum frequency of 7200 MHz (maximum capacity - 192 GB). The layout of the slots makes it possible to install three high-speed M.2 SSDs (2xPCI-E 4x, 1xPCI-E 2x / M2_1 PCI-E 5.0) and four standard drives with a SATA3 connection into the system. Despite belonging to the Pro line, the board is equipped with reinforced slots for connecting video cards and supports Crossfire mode, which allows you to simultaneously use the power of two video cards.
In addition, gamers should be interested in support for XMP 3.0, Precision Boost Overdrive and Blazing OC Tuner technologies, which help speed up and optimize overclocking of components, as well as the interaction between them. Plus, the ASRock B650M Pro RS boasts a 2.5-gigabit Dragon RTL8125BG LAN controller, support for the Polychrome backlight synchronization system, and additional connectors for connecting LED strips and liquid cooling systems. Thanks to these factors, it can become a reliable basis for a fairly powerful gaming PC, assembled in a compact Mini Tower, Desktop or Cube Case format.
