— pure silver is not used in jewelry, so in this case we are talking about an alloy based on this metal. However, such alloys have the same colour (white with a sheen), and impurities in them are used to make the material more practical (hard, durable, scratch resistant).

Silver is the most inexpensive of the classic jewelry metals, and gold is considered by many to be the traditional material for wedding rings. However, silverware is quite widespread. Some choose such rings from personal preferences, others — for a certain style; in addition, such jewelry is often suitable even for those whose skin does not tolerate contact with gold. Also note that silver can be gilded: such rings look no worse than gold ones, but are cheaper. The downside of this accessibility is that the gilding wears off over time.
