We wondered where this weird tradi more→tion came from, especially since Saint Patrick himself was more commonly associated with the color blue. Some say that you get pinched for not showing proper respect to the Emerald Isle, but it seems there might be more to it. Apparently, a legend somehow got started that wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns. On St. Patrick’s Day, they go around pinching anyone they can see.
