light has got to be the number one child fantasy. What do you want to be when you grow up? What superpower do you want most? There aren’t many responses that nearly everyone would gi more→ve. But we’re confident the top answer would be flight. And why wouldn’t it be! Even in adulthood, we’re still staring up in the wild blue, wondering if those blinking lights belong to a jet or a UFO, wishing to soar ourselves. Sure, we compensate with our plane tickets for long-distance transatlantic travel, but it’s never the real thing. Ascending in coach, with a window seat if we’re lucky, it’s nice but never quite what we craved. It isn’t us flying!

GET STRAIGHT TO THE AIR
It used to be a lot easier to get your wings and sail through the sky.  But, now, you'll be expected to tackle at least 1,500 hours in the air (not to mention a ton of ca more→sh) to get your license to ferry people from place to place in a plane.
That's basically two months of flying for 24 hours a day... and we're pretty sure that folks aren't going to let you just hit autopilot while you sneak in a nap.  That's not nearly enough time to get your shoulder patches for your next social affair.  How will you impress everyone with your pilot smile?

Extracurricular Flight Activities
Being the pilot of a commercial jet is a really big job. You have to know what to do with all of the levers and buttons and blinking lights, and you need to kno more→w how to sound impressive when making announcements over the intercom: *KSSH* "This is your captain speaking." But most flights are at least a few hours long, which is plenty of time to put the plane on autopilot and do whatever you want to do. Just make sure that you're back in your seat when it's time to land.
