Oval dual zone

— the presence of an oval dual zone facilitates the use of elongated dishes — oval roasters, specific trays, etc. In electric models, this function is usually provided by an additional segment that turns a round burner into an oval one; in gas — a burner of an elongated shape. A similar function is performed by the Bridge mode (see the relevant paragraph). The difference is that the oval zone is implemented on only one burner and can be used with any type of heater, while the “bridge” combines two burners (necessarily electric).
