Teppan

— a round or rectangular metal surface that is actually a hybrid of a burner and a frying pan. Designed primarily for fast frying products. Teppanyaki grills is quite popular in Japanese cuisine but can also be used in European cuisine. The disadvantage of such a device compared to a classic frying pan is the difficulty in cleaning: usually, the working surface of the teppan is not removed, so you have to clean and wash it right on the spot.

Also, note that teppans are less versatile than traditional hobs. Therefore, they are intended mainly for use as auxiliary kitchen equipment and in kitchens where there is a lot of free space.
