All types of such coatings have both advantages and disadvantages: for example, Teflon is sensitive to scratches and overheating, ceramics — to shock and temperature changes, etc. And the cost of such dishes is higher than from "ordinary" materials. For all these reasons, non-stick pans are preferred by some users, and such cookware continues to be produced by most manufacturers. In addition, individual materials for frying pans, subject to certain rules of use, acquire non-stick properties on their own; a typical example is cast iron (see "Material").
