Unlike competing models with identical efficiency, the CX models use a high-end element base with DC-DC converters and heat-resistant Japanese capacitors, which are more commonly seen in "gold" and "platinum" power supplies. However, they are more expensive than most of the "bronze" competitors.

For a long time, the most popular model on this list was the Corsair CX with the CP-9020061-EU index. This is an exemplary ATX format power supply, which belongs to the 80+ Bronze class and has an efficiency of around 85%. One of its main advantages is the use of a semi-modular structure, thanks to which the user can disconnect some of the unused connectors to free up space inside the case. It should also be noted that the Corsair CX uses very advanced circuitry using high-quality components of power circuits, and the cooling system works almost silently in a fairly wide range of speeds. This power supply is represented by models with a power from 450 to 750 watts.

In 2021, the Corsair CX was replaced by two new modified Corsair CX-F power supplies, which, for added beauty, added a rather beautiful RGB backlight with 8 LEDs scattered around the impeller. You can control the backlight using a separate button on the power supply, specialized software or the CORSAIR iCUE RGB remote control, which is sold separately. Homework was also done on other fronts. So, the efficiency increased from 85% to 89% (but the "bronze" status remained), and all cables became completely disconnected and, most importantly, the vaunted hardware basis was preserved.
