To replace the RM series power supplies in 2015, Corsair released two completely new lines of RMi and RMx. RMi was the first to enter the market, which used high-quality Japanese capacitors and added the Corsair Link system for comprehensive control and monitoring of the system. The thing turned out to be interesting, but rather needed by enthusiasts, so it was abandoned in the RMx series models, thereby saving users some money. Otherwise, these are two almost identical models with the same element base, Japanese capacitors and similar circuitry.

Power supplies of the RMx series show excellent efficiency corresponding to the level of 80+ Gold (efficiency of 91% at a load of 50% of the nominal) and can give all 100% of the power on the +12V line. It is important to mention the use of Japanese capacitors with an operating temperature of 105 °C and the possibility of using a 12V line in a multipolar or unipolar power bus mode. In tests on the main 12-volt line, RMi models demonstrate almost zero drawdown, and the ripple level is 2-3 times lower than normal.

If you take the Corsair Link system out of brackets, then the RMi and RMx power supplies will be easily confused with unaccustomed ones. Both there and there, a 140 mm fan with a durable hydrodynamic bearing and a semi-passive mode of operation is used for cooling, in which the noise of the turntable will not disturb the user at all. Both series also belong to the modular class (note: when unnecessary wires can be unfastened) and can boast of having all the necessary precautions, including protection against overload and voltage surges. At the same time, the RMi models have a fan on a hydrodynamic bearing, whereas the RMx series uses a fan on a screw-threaded sliding bearing with a shorter service life.
