USB-C for charging

The idea behind this port is primarily to expand charging options for the battery. The tool's package with this feature usually includes a "USB-A to USB-C" cable, which allows for the use of a wide range of power sources: wall and car adapters, power banks, and even USB ports in PCs and laptops. In fact, tools with this feature can be charged from any USB port; in light of this, many models do not come with a charger at all - just a cable. Moreover, this cable can be replaced with any other cable with the same connectors if desired.

Let's recall that microUSB plays a similar role (see the respective section). USB-C is a newer type of port, it is more convenient (due to its reversible design) and provides greater charging power. However, this power is still small by the standards of battery-powered tools, so this charging method is mainly found in screwdrivers.
