The first two numbers in the designation describe the diameter of the battery in millimeters (25 mm), the last three numbers are the size of the battery in tenths fractions of a millimeter in length (50 mm).

Batteries of this family are used in energy-consuming equipment: powerful LED flashlights, medical equipment, computer equipment, etc. The most common rechargeable batteries are 25500 batteries with a capacity of 4000 mAh or so.
