Reserator is one of the oldest and most respected families of liquid cooling systems on the computer components market. The first versions of Reserator, which were released back in the early 2000s, were distinguished by their non-standard design and passive operating mode. Since then, the manufacturer has been experimenting with the form for a long time, until in 2021 it relaunched the series, introducing several variations of the Reserator 5 LSS.

After the relaunch, the Korean manufacturer decided to take a more traditional approach, presenting classic life-support systems with pre-fitted elements, including a pump, water block, radiator with fans and connecting hoses. To simplify installation of the assembled system, the manufacturer decided to use the most common standard sizes, including 360 and 240 mm. At the launch, the series featured 4 variations of Reserator 5: the compact Reserator 5 Z24 and the massive Zalman Reserator 5 Z36. Both come in black and white, plus there are versions with addressable ARGB lighting.

The ideas of the Reserator 5 series are best revealed by the older model Reserator 5 Z36. This is a three-section dropsy with an unusual double-vane pump that guarantees improved performance over regular standard pumps. The radiator is equipped with three quiet ZM-SF120 fans on EBR plain bearings. The fans support PWM control at speeds from 1000 to 2100 rpm. Optional ARGB illumination of the pump segments complements the design of the device and is compatible with all popular backlight control systems.
