As one of the leading players in the field of computer components, Taiwanese giant MSI has long ignored the cooling market. But in 2021, the silence was broken, and MSI presented several series of air and liquid cooling to the public at once. In the latter case, we are talking about three LSS lines at once (MSI MAG, MPG and MEG), which differ slightly in status and price. In particular, MAG models belong to the entry level and are designed for users who need high-quality and efficient LSS without unnecessary bells and whistles. One of the primary advantages of this series is the support for the new Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5 processor sockets.

Most MSI MAG models are of the all-in-one type and are ready to be installed in the system without the need to purchase additional system components. As a rule, they are equipped with two- and three-section radiators with two or three turntables with a diameter of 120 or 140 mm. Compact single-section LSS are not found in this series. The spinners are able to adjust the rotation speed depending on the degree of processor heating, and the efficiency of the entire cooling structure is usually enough to keep a powerful 8-core processor with multi-threading and manual overclocking in check.

The difference between MSI MAG FLU systems usually lies in the diameter of the cooler, the number of LEDs, the implementation of the backlight, and the design of the water block cover. Some of the representatives of this series are equipped with classic RGB backlighting, others are equipped with more modern address illumination. The backlight often allows the use of a controller that is compatible with the 3-wire ARGB system. To reduce the noise level from the system and extend its life, the pump is usually built directly into the radiator.
