Like most AIO CPU liquid cooling systems, the Liqmax series models are a pre-charged closed loop in which the water block and radiator are connected by flexible reinforced hoses that circulate coolant between the water block and the cooling structure. The latter consists of a dense metal radiator, which covers one or more active fans with PWM speed control on top. The key advantage of such closed-loop systems is that all elements of the system fit together and are ready for assembly.
If we compare Liqmax cooling systems with competitors, their advantages include a two-section microchannel Shunt-Channel design and a two-chamber pump, in which the main part with the incoming cooled flow is internally separated from the chamber with the output heated flow. According to the manufacturer, these improvements have a positive impact on the efficiency and longevity of the Liqmax LSS. And this is not just marketing, in real tests the Liqmax 240 and Liqmax 360 models show impressive cooling performance, beating many competitors of the corresponding standard size.
Enermax updates its assortment rarely and to the point, so only the most current modifications of Liqmax LSS of different standard sizes are usually found on sale (for example, most often 240 and 360 mm). At the moment (May 2024), the most current model is the Liqmax III model of 2020. It must be said right away that this is a fairly powerful model, which, even with only two fans, is capable of cooling a processor with a maximum heat dissipation of up to 330 W. In the third iteration of Liqmax, the pump cover and fan blades were decorated with ARGB LEDs with multi compatibility.
