In the model range of the German brand be quiet! three different families of air tower coolers dominate: Dark Rock models belong to the top level and are designed for cooling powerful and very powerful processors, Shadow Rock coolers will appeal to those users who are looking for an inexpensive but high-quality fan, and Pure Rock COs are somewhere between them and in fact belong to the middle level.

Given the middle class, the Pure Rock range is dominated by medium-sized tower-type CBOs designed for 4 and 6-core processors with medium heat dissipation. Typical TDP for most turntables in this series is in the range of 130 to 150 watts. All of them use the classic scheme with a cooling radiator, additional heat pipes and a single fan.

As befits Be quiet! products, all members of this family are equipped by default with Pure Wings 2 silent coolers on threaded bearings, which guarantees low noise level even at the maximum load on the power circuits. As a rule, the maximum noise level for Pure Rock is stated at 25 - 27 dB. Plus, Pure Rock devices are equipped with all the necessary mounts for current processor sockets, including Intel LGA 1200 and AMD AM4.

Unlike the more popular Dark Rock line, the Pure Rock lineup does not get updated as often, and the most relevant at the moment (note: summer 2022) is the second generation. It includes 3 fairly similar turntables: the original Pure Rock 2, painted in Pure Rock 2 Black, and a low-profile Slim version that has been reduced in height from 155mm to 135mm.
