— possibility at the discretion of the user to adjust the speed of the fan installed in the cooling system. This feature can be implemented in three ways:- A full-fledged manual regulator that allows you to arbitrarily set the speed right during the operation of the system;
- Automatic adjustment (see "automatic speed controller") with manual limitation of maximum speed;
- A resistor adapter that lowers the voltage on the fan and thus reduces the speed; to replace such an adapter, you need to turn off the system and open the case.
Note that fully automatic fan speed control systems that do not require user intervention are not considered speed controllers and are not taken into account in this case.
Anyway, this function provides additional options for setting the cooling operation mode, however, it requires care from the user.
