Laptops are convenient in almost everything, except for those rare cases when you need to change the RAM. This is where the surprises begin - either there is only one RAM slot, or the bar is already soldered on the motherboard, or there is nothing to choose from. And if the first two problems lie on the conscience of laptop manufacturers, then the Kingston-HyperX alliance is trying to solve the third with all its might. It was through their joint efforts that almost the first series of SO-DIMM RAM entered the market, which marks the ranks of overclockers and is not much inferior to conventional desktop RAM.

Unlike other laptop memory, which is usually bought on a buy-and-forget basis, the range of the Impact series, on the contrary, looks as serious as possible. For example, this is almost the only line in which absolutely all memory modules are covered with a cooling radiator. Even though he is not always needed there, this is a serious statement of intent. It is also one of the rare laptop RAM series in which the user can freely buy a fast single SO-DIMM bar with a capacity of 32 GB, thereby solving the problem of lack of memory in a laptop once and for all.

The Impact series includes DDR4 strips, made in the SO-DIMM form factor, which is designed primarily for owners of laptops and miniature computers. Operating frequencies usually start at the traditional 2400MHz, but unlike the competition, the Impact models can go up to 3200MHz. And they support XMP profiles, which greatly simplify memory settings and finding the required frequency and timings. All of them are sold in the form of single, pair and combo kits with a volume of 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 GB. Also in the ranks of Fury Impact occasionally comes across DDR3 memory, released with an eye on the owners of old laptops. Unlike DDR4, its ceiling is a frequency of 1866 MHz, and the maximum volume of kits is limited to 16 GB.
