Model overview based on user reviews
The Transcend PCIe SSD220S series offers a compelling price-to-performance ratio, making it a popular choice among users. Many reviewers highlight its impressive speed, with read speeds up to 3450 MB/s and write speeds around 1100 MB/s, significantly outperforming traditional SATA SSDs. Users appreciate its cool operation during everyday tasks and its reliability, backed by a 5-year warranty. However, some users noted issues with heating, suggesting the need for additional cooling solutions. There are also concerns about the lack of support for newer proprietary utilities, as the Transcend SSD Scope does not recognize the drive without using an outdated version. Despite these minor drawbacks, the SSD is praised for its fast performance and ease of use, making it a recommended choice for those seeking an upgrade from HDDs or slower SSDs.

Price/quality ratio. 1. The brand utility "Transcend SSD Scope" does not recognize this drive. It's necessary to use the "outdated" version 3.11.0, which is no longer available for download on the website; 2. After six months of use, the wear indicator increased by 1%, according to information from other utilities. I don't know if this is good or bad. |
Initially, I thought I would settle for regular SSDs, but when prices for components started to drop rapidly in 2019, I decided to get an M2 drive for disk D, especially since there's a slot for it on the motherboard, so why not. I chose the brand based on my own experience, as my first flash drive was from Transcend, purchased in 2006 with 512 MB, and it's still working to this day! When compared to my SSD that was previously installed, this one is 7 times faster in terms of numbers, but practically speaking, let's say the difference is noticeable during tasks like unpacking archives, installing games, or copying. But for everyday use like internet surfing or watching a movie, the difference is not significant, although Windows may boot faster. I'll say this honestly - I bought it because I simply love the PC scene and tinkering with all these components and want to keep up with the times, though a regular SSD would generally be more than enough. Regarding heating, there's no issue; only particularly fast M2 drives heat up, and this one is quite standard and stays cool. In general, if you're looking for an M2, I recommend paying attention to this model. Price-quality, speed No |
It heats up like crazy, even with cooling from Cryorig! NO Died after three weeks. It just fell off and that's it! Because was inserted into the Cryorig body, the stickers were removed, accordingly the warranty is ek. 10,000 went down the toilet. |

After installing it, you completely forget about it because everything works fast, and there are no problems at all. While in use, the drive heats up to 50 degrees, so it needs a heatsink, and an additional fan in the case would not be superfluous.
The drive is used as a system disk. As a rule, it's always half-empty for me, so it will last longer.
