Balanced multi-purpose microATX motherboard from the 2020 model year featuring an AMD AM4 processor socket and a mid-range B550 chipset. Designed for assembling versatile home systems, high-performance office personal computers, and entry-level workstations. With a PCIe slot reinforced with a steel cover, it supports the installation of large, hefty gaming graphics cards. It supports 4/6/8/12/16-core AMD Ryzen 3000 (Matisse/Matisse Refresh, 7nm) processors and Ryzen 4000 APU (Renoir, 7nm).
Positioned as a mid-range product with enhanced communication capabilities. Unlike previous generation models (on the B450 chipset), the MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard provides full support for the PCIe Gen 4.0 system interface, which allows for a 100% increase in texture loading speeds for advanced new graphics card models and accelerates data exchange with high-performance NVMe SSDs.
It's also noteworthy for its inclusion of two built-in high-speed network adapters: a wired GbE LAN Realtek 8111HN and a dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11n/ac + Bluetooth 4.2) wireless adapter. Thanks to its four DIMM slots for DDR4 modules, it supports an impressive maximum total RAM capacity (up to 128GB), sufficient for tackling any household or professional tasks, gaming, and streaming.

The manufacturer's website states that the board is compatible with processors above the AMD Ryzen 3000 series after a BIOS update. Before installing the Ryzen 5600G, we updated the BIOS from a flash drive (strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions), but upon starting, it turned out the update was unstable. To make matters worse, to flash it with a programmer, you need to desolder the built-in Micron 256MD flash from the board since it has no "pins." But even that did not help, as there is simply no suitable program for this flash memory for the programmer available online. In the end, according to reviews, the board is not bad, but to update or flash the latest BIOS, you'll be struggling a lot. Top in terms of temperatures, board design and BIOS. temperature, design the location of the pins needed to short for restoring the BIOS default settings is blocked by the graphics card.
