Cold storage

The M.2 A-Data LEGEND 710 SSD ALEG-710-512GCS features an aluminium heatsink for efficient heat dissipation, which helps prevent throttling during long recording sessions. The bright blue design of the heatsink goes well with system units with a viewing window, and the 22x80 format makes the drive compatible with most laptops. When assembled, the thickness is 3.13 mm. The heatsink is supplied separately; it can be omitted to install the drive in the most compact laptops.

For undemanding tasks

This SSD is not designed for ultra-fast data processing. Write speeds reach 1000 MB/s, but can slow down significantly once the cache fills up. This is typical for many budget models that are not equipped with their own DRAM. The problem is partially solved by Host Memory Buffer technology, which uses RAM to optimize data exchange. With 512GB of 3D TLC NAND storage, the drive is suitable for home and office use, and also offers advanced security features with AES 256-bit encryption. This makes it especially useful for people who work with sensitive information and for those who frequently travel with a laptop, where the risk of theft is higher.

However, the TBW rating is only 130 TB, which indicates limited durability during intensive daily work with large files such as databases or Blu-ray movies. Thus, A-Data LEGEND 710 is best suited for undemanding applications where speed and high wear resistance are not critical.
