Intel Core i7 Alder Lake i7-12700K BOX (BX8071512700K)

A high-performance 12-core processor from Intel, which was introduced to the public in 2021 as part of the 12th generation of chips, codenamed Alder Lake. It is based on a monolithic crystal produced using a 10-nm process technology and differs from its predecessors in the blue camp due to the use of hybrid cores. As in mobile ARM chips, it uses two types of computing cores: 8 productive Golden Cove cores and 4 energy-efficient Gracemont cores, the interaction of which is responsible for the new Thread Director technology.

Performance cores operate at clock speeds from 3.6 to 4.9 GHz, support Hyper-Threading technology and are used in resource-intensive tasks like processing game worlds, rendering, compiling, etc. In turn, energy-efficient E-cores are turned on when solving simple background tasks, in idle they operate at a frequency of 2.7 GHz, and if necessary, they can automatically overclock to 3.8 GHz.

In addition, the Core i7-12700K BOX, like all other members of the Alder Lake family, supports the simultaneous operation of DDR4 and DDR5 memory classes. To interact with the graphics card, a PCI-E 5.0 interface is provided. The processor is designed to install a PC with an LGA 1700 socket motherboard. The declared heat dissipation is 125 W in normal mode or 190 W at peak load. In the absence of a discrete graphics card, the monitor can be connected to the processor's built-in graphics card. Unlike previous generations of Intel Core, this is a more serious solution called UHD Graphics 770, which can comfortably play competitive games like FIFA 22, CS: GO and Dota 2.
