Core Ultra 9 chips represent an entirely new generation of Intel processors replacing Intel Core chips. According to the manufacturer, the introduction of the "Core Ultra" brand marks significant changes in the company's processor lineup, which include an increase in the number of cores, enhanced core-specific power, improved energy efficiency, and advancements in AI technology.

The downside is the abandonment of the proprietary Hyper-Threading multi-threading technology. The Core Ultra 9-285 (Arrow Lake) subseries includes several similar processors with a hybrid architecture combining performance cores (P-cores) and energy-efficient cores (E-cores). This combination allows the processor to handle high-load tasks efficiently while ensuring energy efficiency during less intensive tasks.

P-cores operate at a base frequency of 3.7 GHz and can boost up to 5.5 GHz, while E-cores run at 3.2 GHz with a boost potential up to 4.6 GHz. TurboBoost Max 3.0 technology support can provide a temporary frequency increase up to 5.6 GHz — 5.7 GHz. The L3 cache size is 36 MB. The maximum supported DDR5 memory frequency reaches 6400 MHz. Additionally, PCIe 5.0 interface support and SSE4.1/SSE4.2/AVX2 instructions are declared. Installing Core Ultra 9 Arrow Lake chips will require a high-performance motherboard with an Intel LGA 1851 socket.
