The MikroTik Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 router is notable for its extended temperature operating range: -40 °C ~ +70 °C. It can be safely placed in unheated rooms (garage, basement, attic, etc.), and with additional water protection (placement under a canopy) — even outside, for example, on the premises. For these scenarios, PoE technology is supported, so MikroTik hAP ax3 will receive both internet signal and power over a single Ethernet cable. Moreover, PoE also works on the output, allowing you to power another low-power device from the router, say, a surveillance camera.
The model's hardware includes a 4-core Qualcomm IPQ-6010 processor and 1 GB of RAM, which provides good computing capabilities. For initial connection and configuration, RouterOS is offered — a convenient "OS" suitable for both beginners and demanding users, setting complex firewall rules, using hardware encryption, and more.
Strong points of the router include the availability of 5 LAN ports at once, four of which are gigabit, and one is 2.5 Gbps. Nearby is a USB: it allows you to connect not only a flash drive but also an LTE modem.
The powerful transmitter (29 dBm) "on board" ensures stable coverage even in multi-room apartments and eliminates the need for signal boosters. Also, the body features a pair of external antennas of 5.5 dBi, which can be removed if necessary for replacement or convenient storage of the device.
The downside is the low (or rather basic) speed in 5 GHz networks by the standards of Wi-Fi 6, which will not exceed 1200 Mbps. Otherwise, the MikroTik hAP ax3 is a router worth paying attention to, combining frost-resistant design and "long-range."

The main advantage of the TP-LINK router is its high performance. The model corresponds to the AX5400 class, meaning the total throughput capacity is up to 5400 Mbps, with the possibility to reach data exchange speeds of 4804 Mbps at 5 GHz. These rates are enough even for streaming 8K video. The 160 MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM modulation allow you to get closer to the stated maximum.
By the way, excellent performance is ensured by TP-LINK Archer AX72 Pro even during wired data transmission, since it's equipped with a 2.5 Gbps port.
The model’s long range is supported by a set of 6 external antennas. Additionally, there's a powerful transmitter at 30 dBm inside, whose capabilities are definitely sufficient for most multi-room apartments, small to medium-sized offices, etc. And for larger objects or the most demanding tasks, the router can be used to deploy seamless Mesh networks.
To ensure stable operation with a large number of devices at once, MU-MIMO is supported, and the Beamforming function ensures targeted signal to specific clients.
The router has a total of 5 LAN ports, including four gigabit ports, as well as one USB — for connecting external drives. The model is easily configured using the Tether app, supports alerts when new users are added, and has a built-in HomeShield security system.
TP-LINK Archer AX72 Pro is a high-quality choice if you need truly high data transfer speed and good coverage range.

The Ubiquiti brand router is an advanced version of the UniFi Express. Visually, the 2025 model has become slightly larger, but as before, it is quite compact and lacks external antennas. The main changes, of course, are inside, including the Wi-Fi 7 module and the ability to work simultaneously in three bands. Along with the increased 320 MHz bandwidth, this provides theoretically very high speeds, including up to 5700 Mbps on 6 GHz networks and 4300 Mbps on 5 GHz. In total, it amounts to 10700 Mbps, corresponding to the top BE11000 class.
Additionally, the Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 has received a 10-gigabit WAN port and LAN at 2.5 Gbps compared to its predecessor, as well as a more powerful transmitter (26 vs. 25 dBm). As a result, the coverage area has been increased — up to 160 (compared to 140) square meters in open spaces.
The model supports various operation modes — router, access point, gateway, which can manage 30 other network devices, including filtering traffic, domains, countries, etc. For additional user convenience, there is a 0.96-inch info display, and for power, a USB-C port. This last feature among other things offers portability — the possibility to connect to a power bank without adapters.
Notably, the great "hardware" with a 4-core processor and 3 GB of RAM, as well as a Bluetooth module. It can be used for pairing with a smartphone (and remote control) and for connecting various wireless sensors.
Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 is a quite expensive, but in the literal sense, a top-tier network device with Wi-Fi 7.

The Zyxel brand model is an advanced class router, although within the Nebula range it is closer to entry-level, simplified solutions. It can be recommended for home use and/or small offices.
Zyxel Nebula USG LITE 60AX is made in a white body, and its minimalist design helps it easily blend into any interior, as it lacks external antennas. However, the good range of coverage is not an issue, as there is a powerful transmitter at 29 dBm. Also supported are the Beamforming and MU-MIMO functions, which enhance communication stability. Additionally, there are internal antennas that provide decent signal boost (4.6 dBi).
The advantages of the router include a wide bandwidth of 160 MHz and high-speed wireless data transmission. In 5 GHz networks, it can reach 4800 Mbps and in 2.4 GHz — 1150 Mbps. These rates are often more than enough for demanding users — designers, video editors, esports enthusiasts. Performance is ensured and wired, as there are two 2.5 Gbps ports — respectively WAN and LAN, as well as four gigabit ports for direct connection of TVs, PCs, NAS servers.
The router is equipped with a 4-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 512 MB of built-in memory. This "hardware" is designed to enhance overall performance, including speeding up configuration. Advanced protection from various cyber threats, including malware and ransomware detection, is also declared. For initial connection and flexible management, a proprietary Nebula app is offered, where, among other things, you can control traffic and set various restrictions.
Zyxel Nebula USG LITE 60AX is a router with a large coverage area, yet a streamlined design. However, it should be noted that high speeds and long-range result in a corresponding price tag.

The advanced level router from Asus is notable for its wide connectivity options. First of all, it is compatible with both Ethernet (twisted pair) and optical (SFP+ standard). In each case, 10-gigabit ports are provided for data entry. Plus, the Asus RT-AX89X can distribute mobile internet, as it supports 3G and 4G (LTE) modems with two USB ports for them.
One should specifically highlight 8 LAN ports with a bandwidth of 1 Gbps each, which will allow you to connect a laptop, TV, network storage, or other devices directly or even hold a small cyber tournament at home among friends. Besides, the Link Aggregation function allows speeding up wired data transmission — by connecting by two or even three cables to one PC (another client).
Externally, the router resembles a spider as it is circular in design and features 8 external antennas. Additionally, a powerful transmitter at 30 dBm is used, which expands the coverage area (an 80% increase over standard solutions with a figure of about 20 dBm is declared). For maintaining stable connection, the Beamforming function is also implemented, providing directional signal precisely to your devices. In multi-story buildings or offices, the model can be integrated into a mesh system using Asus’ proprietary AiMesh technology.
The router is classified as AX6000, meaning high wireless data exchange speeds, including up to 4804 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 1148 Mbps in 2.4 GHz. This should suffice for 4K gaming, processing "heavy" videos found in network storage, etc. In practice, performance depends on client devices and many other variables, but thanks to the 160 MHz bandwidth, the model will certainly be closer to theoretical maximum.
Note that gamers are offered prioritization of gaming traffic, plus there is a load balancing function and an advanced AiProtection security system.
The Asus RT-AX89X is quite expensive, but if high performance, long-range, and versatility (Ethernet, optical, mobile internet) are required, the router certainly deserves close attention.
